Argument about Kant results in shooting in Rostov-on-Don
A citizen of Rostov-on-Don was arrested on suspicion of having shot his opponent during an argument about the work of philosopher Immanuel Kant, according to RIA Novosti agency’s report on September 16.
According to Yuga.ru portal, the conflict between the two men of 26 and 28 years occurred around midnight on September 14. They met at a local store after celebrating the City Day and engaged in discussing Kant. The argument developed into a fight, and the younger man pulled out an OSA handgun and shot his opponent on the head.
The shooter fled the crime scene, however he was shortly found by the police. The handgun was confiscated.
The victim is in hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, however, the harm inflicted to his health is considered serious. Criminal proceedings were initiated in accordance with the respective article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
