OPEN POSITION

Postdoc / Senior Researcher

Main job conditions:

  • Fixed term contract for one calendar year beginning in late 2018

  • Prolongation possible depending on performance and availability of funding

  • Relocation to Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University (Kaliningrad, Russia) is required

  • Full time position, salary of 90 000 Rub./month (before 13% income tax) (Cost of living WELL in Kaliningrad is about 40 000 Rub./mo)

  • Visa support for HQS Multiple Entry Visa (invitation, document processing)

  • Assistance with securing on-campus housing (if available)

  • Paid vacation (42 calendar days per one calendar year), medical insurance covered by the University, free access to all on-campus facilities

Research focus:

Kant’s Philosophy or Philosophy of Enlightenment, preferably both and its/their actuality (applied philosophy: biomedical ethics, AI ethics, philosophy of cognitive sciences etc.)

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Philosophy

  • Age under 40 (at the moment of signing contract)

  • Research papers or book reviews – at least 2 in journals indexed in Web of Science or Scopus from 2013 to 2018

  • Monograph – 1 book published from 2013 to 2018

  • Total number of publications (articles, book reviews, monographs, etc.) – preferably, 20
  • h-index of at least 1, or at least 5 total citations in Scopus or Web of Science
  • Conference presentations – at least 1 over the last 2 years
  • Proven experience in attracting grant financing/participation in grants
  • Proven research or/and teaching experience of at least 5 years
  • Fluent English
  • Russian or German proficiency is a plus

Job description:

  • research in the field of Kant’s Philosophy or/and Philosophy of Enlightenment and its/their actuality

  • at least 3 articles written and submitted for publication at journals of Scopus or Web of Science

  • 1 philosophical course taught at the IKBFU

  • at least 2 presentations at international conferences

  • participation at the scientific, educational and publication activities of the Academia Kantiana
