Leonid Yu. Kornilaev is a senior research fellow at the Kantian Rationality Lab and research fellow at the Academia Kantiana of the Institute for Humanities at the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University (IKBFU), Kaliningrad, Russia. He received his PhD in Philosophy from the Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2017, thesis theme: «Emil Lask’s Logik of Philosophy».
He held research internships at the University of Tübingen (2011/2012-exchange program, 2018/2019 – Immanuel Kant programm, DAAD) and at the University of Greifswald (2017/2018), Germany.
In 2019 was accepted an application for a research grant from the President of the Russian Federation on the topic «Between Neo-Kantianism and Phenomenology: the Problem of Onto-epistemology in Russia and Germany in the Early Twentieth Century».
His areas of specialization are Kant’s theoretical philosophy and philosophy of science, philosophy of Neo-Kantinism. Articles published in the journals Voprosy filosofii, Kantian journal, Philosophical Sciences and others.
Research topic in the Kantian Rationality Lab:
- Reconstruction and analyzing of Kant’s doctrine of systematicity.
- Research of the continuity of Kantian rationality and the new type of rationality of science (by the example of transdisciplinarity)
