The 2019 summer school is devoted on Kant’s views on the meanings and roles of reason for the sciences as well as its historical impact. Three aspects will take center stage: (1) the role of “constitutive” a priori knowledge for the sciences; (2) the role of “regulative” ideas of pure reason for the sciences; (3) the definition of the different sciences, and their classification by an “architectonics of reason”.

The summer school will focus on the analysis of central passages from Kant’s works, including publications on the natural and the human sciences as well as texts from his critical works.
